Timber Windows

TIMBER STABLE DOORS

Timber stable doors have become a popular choice with homeowners in the South East, providing a charming entrance into their homes.

Our timber stable doors stand out from other doors because they are divided into two parts. One section can be opened and the other closed. The independent opening is great for ventilation as the top half can effectively work as another window. This is particularly useful if you have small children and pets that you want to keep indoors!

Thanks to double glazing, our timber stable doors are extremely robust and energy efficient. They’re also highly secure. And when it comes customising your stable door, we have a comprehensive suite of door hardware for you to choose from.

ABOUT OUR TIMBER DOORS

All our timber entrance and stable doors feature the latest secure locking systems, with no compromise on your home’s security. The fully adjustable hinges can be colour co-ordinated to the door so you can be confident that the aesthetic design is never sidelined for functionality. We provide both.

We’re delighted to bring you the very best in timber doors...

Timber Windows is our chosen manufacturer for our collection of doors made from timber. Timber Windows first began their journey into modernising timber products in Britain back in 2004 and it hasn’t looked back since. They combine Scandinavian and German engineering to produce the highest quality timber products on today's market.

Timber Windows do not cut corners when it comes to producing beautiful timber products for their UK customers. Their engineered timber won’t twist, rot or warp, which was a common issue of the past timber products. Fortunately for you, their timber doors will require very little maintenance and they have been specially designed for the many different styles of British homes, from barn conversions to modern new builds.

Even within our standard colour range, you’ll find many classic and on-trend shades to choose from. Colours such as French grey, off-white and cream look great on our timber doors. If you can’t decide between two colours, you may choose to have a dual coloured door with a more neutral shade on the inside and a vibrant finish for the outside, or vice versa. The choice is yours!

If you are looking to further enhance the rich, warm look of your timber door, we have an assortment of woodgrain finishes available to homeowners throughout the South East. Popular woodgrain finishes include Redwood and Mernati Hardwood and they range from golden shades to more deeper hues.

DISCOVER OUR TIMBER STABLE DOORS

Our range of timber stable doors are the perfect way to upgrade your door, and replace it with a design you’ll love for years to come. If you have any questions about our stable doors or our design and installation process review our FAQs below or contact one of our advisors.

Why should I choose stable doors for my home?

Stable doors bring you the best in security and ventilation.

Stable doors have a natural traditional charm and evoke images of the countryside and simple living. For homeowners with pets or young children, they’re the perfect choice for any home because the bottom panel can remain securely locked while the top is open for ventilation, giving you the best of both worlds. Your home and family members remain safe inside while you get to enjoy the benefits of fresh air and sunshine.

Our stable doors will really enhance your home, bringing a traditional look to your Kent or Sussex property that can’t be made with any other door. Thanks to the technology used in manufacturing our doors, they’re designed to last. Once you’ve found your perfect stable door, you’ll be able to enjoy it for years to come.

Are wooden stable doors secure?

All of our timber doors are designed with security in mind.

Timber is a naturally sturdy and durable material that will keep your home secure and our stable doors are no exception.

Even with the top panel opened, our stable doors are secure and feature all of the security benefits that are common across our range, including secure hinges and multipoint locking systems to keep you safe.

Whether you use our stable doors as a front or back door, they should put your mind at ease.

Do stable doors cause draughts?

Our stable doors are as energy efficient as you’d expect any other door to be.

Despite the top opening panel, our stable doors are still designed to keep your home warm when completely closed.

As with all of our doors, they’ve been designed with energy efficiency in mind and will help eliminate all draughts in your home. If you’re currently living with an older timber front door, then you won’t believe the difference that one of our stable doors can make to your home.

If you’re interested in upgrading your door with County, book your free design appointment online or visit our showroom for details.

Can I have two different colours for my door?

Absolutely, you can have a different internal and external colour on your new door.

We love the trend for bright front doors – they add such character and flair to a home and really brighten up a street. At the same time, we understand that you might not want a bright colour directly in your living space if your front door would open into the main room of the home.

To give you the best of both worlds, you can have two colours applied to your door. You can choose a brighter colour for the exterior and then a more muted colour or natural woodgrain for the interior.
