Beautifully made by the most brilliant craftspeople…
To inform our Timber Window designs, we conducted extensive research and dedicated hours of development time to their production so that the full range offers the level of sophistication that any barn conversion, period villa or modern abode needs. You really can’t compare them to traditional timber windows because they are resistant to twisting and rotting, and there’s so much less upkeep involved in keeping them looking their best. Their frames are more insulating too and markedly more secure.

VIEW OUR TIMBER CASEMENT WINDOW STYLES
The Timber Windows collection at County includes a few versions of a timber casement. Get to know each style so that you can weigh up which of them is most likely to best suit your West Sussex home. Ask for assistance if you want some expert input to help you decide.
Lipped Casement Windows
A lipped casement window is called such because the casement slightly overlaps the frame, making it ‘lipped’. This provides a great shield against the weather. Lipped casement windows are the most used window style in England.
You can stick with a single coloured finish for the windows or go for the dual-colour option, giving you the opportunity to have different finishes inside and out.

Deco Casement Windows
At first look at a Deco Casement Window would make you think that the opening sashes are recessed within the frame and that’s due to the specially designed sections in the front face of its design. Most windows of the 1930’s would have this feature and it helps to make the front elevations of municipal West Sussex homes look exceptionally striking.
Many of the customers who buy Deco Casement Windows reside in 1930’s properties, with their distinctive timber sections being one of their strongest selling-points.

Flush Casement Windows
The flush casement window is identifiable for its perfectly flat and neat surface. It’s a window style that’s widespread in the West Sussex area, most typically seen in mediaeval buildings, cottages and homes of various periods, modern and vintage.
Flush fitting timber windows are synonymous with Georgian, Edwardian and late Victorian residences, and they’re having a significant rebirth in recent years.

Cottage Casement Windows
Your windows are what help bring in natural light into your West Sussex home and our Cottage Flush Casement Windows will pull in around 10% more of it than traditional cottage windows. It’s their slimmer profile and sections that make it happen, as does the omission of any vertical mullions. Not to state the obvious, but cottage windows are a popular window replacement for cottages.
Cottage Casement Windows have many similarities to flush casement windows, but there are a few subtle and noticeable variations that set the two designs apart from each other.

Timber Sash Windows – reimagined but historically accurate…
Sash windows are everywhere around you in West Sussex and have been for generations. You may have sash windows and if they’re not looking or performing like they should, we have replacements waiting.
Our timber sash windows are a modern recreation of a traditional sash window, with every bit of detail laboured over by our team. They’re not as bulky as traditional box sashes though and are one of the few window systems to gain acceptance from planners for listed buildings and homes in conservation areas.
They have so much going for them. Not only are they wonderfully pleasing on the eye, but they’re also straightforward to use, mega secure, highly insulating, and proven to last. We can supply them with cords, traditional chains or a hidden spring mechanism.
